Next Lunch and Learn conference “Discussion with CRASIQ and UTAPI Consultants: Presentation of French-language tools to promote equitable, trauma- and violence-informed care”

The Quebec Indigenous Research Chair in Nursing is pleased to invite you to its first Lunch & Learn series of Fall 2023. On Wednesday, October 18, from noon to 1 p.m., a conference titled “Discussion with CRASIQ and UTAPI Consultants: Presentation of French-language tools to promote equitable, trauma- and violence-informed care” will be presented by Joannie Gill and Amélie Blanchet Garneau.
The conference will be presented in French, but you are welcome to ask questions in French or English.
Summary:
The COVID-19 pandemic has dramatically affected the health needs of people who use services. This heightened public attention to public health challenges has highlighted the issues of equity of access to healthcare in Canada. Against this backdrop, EQUIP Health Care has developed accessible tools to help healthcare providers offer equitable, trauma- and violence-informed care. This presentation will share some of these tools, available in French, and the process of adapting a first series of tools focusing specifically on mental health and health equity to the Quebec context. These resources are aimed at a wide range of people working in the health sector, as well as managers and students.
