Mandate and composition of the committees

Scientific committee

 

The Scientific Committee’s mandate is to develop the eligibility criteria, the awarding conditions and the evaluation criteria for the scholarship competitions. The committee is responsible for evaluating the candidates’ files and determining the winners. The Committee may, if necessary, advise the Chair on any subject related to the Chair’s scientific program, in addition to the advice provided by the Chair’s Advisory Committee.

 

The Committee is composed of the following people (in alphabetical order) :

  • Ms. Amélie Blanchet Garneau, chairholder of the Quebec Indigenous Research Chair in Nursing, Chair of the Committee
  • Ms. Audrey Pinsonneault, Research and Continuous Improvement Coordinator, Regroupement des centres d’amitié autochtones du Québec (RCAAQ)
  • Ms. Édith Picard, Elder of the Wendake community, retired nurse, Indigenous knowledge keeper
  • Ms. Louise Potvin, Professor at the School of Public Health of the University of Montreal (ESPUM), Scientific Director of the Centre de recherche en santé publique (CRESP), Canada Research Chair in Community Approaches and Health Inequalities
  • Ms. Marie-Charlotte Pelletier-De Koninck, Coordinator of the Quebec Indigenous Research Chair in Nursing, Committee Secretary
  • Ms. Jacinthe Pepin, Professor and Faculty Secretary, Faculty of Nursing, Université de Montréal

Advisory Committee

The Advisory Committee’s mandate is to advise the Chairholder and the RCAAQ, the main research partner, on any subject related to the Chair’s scientific program.

 

The Committee is composed of the following persons (in alphabetical order):

  • Ms. Amélie Blanchet Garneau, chairholder of the Quebec Indigenous Research Chair in Nursing, Chair of the Committee
  • Ms. Sylvie Cossette, Associate Professor, Faculty of Nursing, Université de Montréal, researcher at the Montreal Heart Institute Research Centre, Editor-in-Chief of Science of Nursing and Health Practices / Science infirmière et pratiques en santé – Érudit (erudit.org)
