On April 10th, British Columbia will celebrate Aboriginal Nurses Day in honour of Charlotte Edith Anderson Monture, the first person in Canada to become a registered nurse.
For the occasion, the IHNR (Indigenous Health Nursing Research) in British Columbia invites you to a virtual day of celebration on April 11. The day will feature an Indigenous grandmothers circle and ceremony in the morning, a virtual gathering to celebrate with Indigenous nurses and families in the afternoon, and an inaugural intergenerational circle for Indigenous nurses and students in the evening.
